Diplomas and School Papers

This section relates to documents that will be used for educational, not professional, purposes, e.g. for registration in school, college, university.

In order to be valid in Brazil, diplomas and school transcripts issued abroad, must be legalized by a Brazilian Consular Service with jurisdiction over the Country where the school is located.

Requirements
Bring to the Embassy the original document(s) to be legalized. School transcripts must bear the school letterhead, the official stamp or dry (raised) seal, and the signature of the Principal or the school official.
All documents must be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, Patiala House, New Delhi. 

Fees
· Rs.300/- per document up to 3 documents, referring to the same person
· Rs.900/- for 4 documents or more, referring to the same person
· Rs.300/- for diploma
· Rs.300/- for certificate

The Embassy only accepts payment by Bank Draft made out to the "Embassy of Brazil" and payable New Delhi.

The Embassy may request additional information or documentation, as deemed necessary.

All school transcripts and diplomas legalized by the Embassy must be translated into Portuguese, in Brazil, by an official translator ("tradutor juramentado") .

Average processing time: two to three business days from the date we receive your document completed in all respects.
